The Colina Club retirement village is situated in tranquil countryside just 5 minutes
drive from the centre of Calpe on the Costa Blanca. It was opened in 1991 to serve the English speaking community, providing
a comfortable and healthy retirement home in a superb location - Calpe, on the Costa Blanca, Spain.
The World Health Organization has declared that the area has one of the best climates in the world
with an average temperature of 20ºC and over 300 days of sunshine per year.
The elevated location of the complex ensures it enjoys a delightful
micro climate with low humidity and a cooling breeze in Summer, especially beneficial to people suffering from arthritis,
rheumatism and chest problems.
The Colina Club includes a modern, air conditioned, nursing home, with English speaking nurses on duty 24 hours a day and an English speaking Doctor who holds a weekly surgery and is on 24 hour call. Beds in the Nursing Home are available for both short term illness as well as longer stays. There are also one or two bedroomed apartments all on one level which have been designed to make life easy. They come complete with an alarm system, central heating, satellite T.V. (BBC1 and ITV) and midlevel electrical points. The fully tiled bathroom is equipped with assistance rails. All apartments feature living/dining rooms leading on to sun patios with outstanding views.
